Workshop boosts job opportunities

The Embassy of the Philippines in Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with Pinoy Shutters and supported by Interhouse Company, yesterday conducted a photography workshop titled ‘Creating Powerful Images’ for overseas Filipino workers (OFW) living in Brunei as part of the Philippine Government’s Reintegration Preparedness Programme.

Ambassador of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam Christopher B Montero and Pinoy Shutters President Ed Bautista were present.

Montero encouraged participants to continue learning new knowledge and upgrading their skills to broaden their employment opportunities and earning capacity.

He underscored the Philippine Government’s goal of working towards eventually turning overseas employment as an option or choice instead of a necessity for Filipinos so that families will no longer be separated from each other just to gain income.

Representatives of Pinoy Shutters Rudolf Portillo, Rommel Oliveros and Raul B Padernal facilitated the workshop.
