The Riyadh Conference Concludes

The Riyadh Conference which was held in order o tackle the Yemeni crisis under the slogan “Saving Yemen & Building a Federal State” ended on Tuesday.
The three day conference concluded by all political parties, religious and tribal representatives agreeing on a statement that supports President Hadi and creating a joint force that will use military and political means to end the rebellious Houthi movement in Yemen.
The Riyadh conference discussed the need for rebuilding the country, focusing on boosting the country’s economy, and restoring the military and security institutions in accordance to the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).
It also called for the implementation of the UN resolution 2216, which calls for Houthis to put down their weapons and withdraw from the areas they have controlled.
The conference ended while airstrikes continued to target Houthi and Ex President’s loyal forces locations in the capital Sana’a. Nuqom mountain was bombed by Saudi-led warplanes which resulted in a series of violent explosions that rocked the capital.
The Houthis refused to take part in the conference, as they demanded the talks to be held in Yemen and not in any country participating in the coalition
