Filipino-American Aldrin Colorado is looking for answers on why his house was targeted in a paintball drive-by shooting, asking who would do such a thing.
In a Facetime interview with ABS-CBN News, Colorado recounted the alarming incident.
The incident happened on Memorial Day, when a dark blue Toyota Rav 4 and a Kia Sorrento fired paintball shots at their house.
“I don’t think its random. It’s only my house, they came back twice just for my house, and it was 2 people, the driver and the person at the back shooting. I didn’t recognize the person. He was a middle-aged, heavyset Asian or Hispanic male, but I did not recognize him. He was wearing glasses,” he said.
Colorado added that he and his family now feared for their safety as he does not remember them having personal differences with anyone.
“All my family is really nice. My brother is basically just go to work and go home. His friends are basically my friends. My mom doesn’t go out. She is always home and she doesn’t have anyone to hang out with and she is currently in Seattle. It’s just paintball right now but who knows? It could be something worse later on,” he said.
Filipinos in the neighborhood are also concerned. They said this kind of incident does not usually happen here.
“Mahirap magsabing you feel safe anywhere, pero wala lang, kahit na paintball lang yun, it’s still scary,” said Toffee Punzalan.
The incident has been reported to the police. Authorities are now looking for the suspects.
