HK-based OFWs May Soon Be Able to Take Civil Service Exams

Thousands of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) based in Hong Kong may soon be given the chance to take the civil service exam.

In a statement, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said they are coordinating with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to pilot test the civil service paper and pencil test for OFWs in Hong Kong.

Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Hong Kong Labor Attaché Jalilo Dela Torre said they are now in the process of benchmarking the mechanics for the exam with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

If approved by CSC, the exam is scheduled to be held in November.
