Filipina Maid Steals Cash Flees; Gold Jewelry Stolen: Syrian
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: A Kuwaiti woman filed a case at Rumaithiya Police Station against her Filipina housemaid, accusing the latter of stealing KD 300 and running away. According to security sources, the Kuwaiti woman told securitymen that her housemaid stole KD 300 from her house in Salwa area and ran away. Necessary action was taken.
Meanwhile, a Syrian expatriate filed a case at Maidan Hawally Police Station, accusing an unknown individual of breaking into his flat and stealing gold jewelry. According to security sources, the man told securitymen that he was not inside the flat at the time of the incident. He came back home to find the door to his flat was broken and he checked to realize some gold jewelry was missing.
In addition, a Kuwaiti citizen reported the theft of his vehicle when it was parked in front of his sister’s house. Investigations were launched to find the thief.
Drugs sachet seized: A Syrian expatriate was arrested in Fintas area in possession of a sachet of methamphetamine and a knife. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Fintas area when they stopped a vehicle based on suspicious and checked the details of the motorist who was wearing a dishdasha to discover he is a Syrian expatriate. They checked him to find the drug and a knife. He was arrested and referred with the illicit items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Pregnancy tablets taken: An unidentified person stole KD 550 cash and an undisclosed quantity of pregnancy tablets from a pharmacy in Maidan Hawally. Securitymen rushed to the scene after the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received information on the theft. They found out that the thief broke into the pharmacy and carted away the abovementioned items. Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department were also summoned to lift fingerprints in order to identify and arrest the suspect. Meanwhile, an Arab man filed a complaint at Farwaniya Police Station against an unknown person who allegedly stole his iPhone from his vehicle by breaking the window.
Traffic crackdown: Jahra securitymen arrested 45 individuals, seized four wanted vehicles and issued 45 traffic citations during a security campaign in Al-Naeem area. According to sources, the arrested individuals included 36 who did not have any official identification documents, six with expired residencies and three who were reported as absconding. All suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
