Ex-teacher Found Guilty of Molesting 2 Girls in PH

A federal jury found a former Orange County teacher guilty of having sex with two girls in the Philippines and producing videos of the abuse, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Robert Ruben Ornelas of Santa Ana, California was convicted by a federal jury of 2 counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place, 3 counts of producing child pornography and 2 counts of possessing child pornography.

The incidents happened between 2006 and 2012.

Ornelas, 65, will be sentenced in February.

He faces a maximum of 190 years in federal prison.
