BREAKING: Cause of Death of OFW in Kuwait Revealed
The death certificate of Jeanelyn Villavende, the slain overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Kuwait, revealed that she died of “acute failure of the heart and respiration” on December 28.
The cause of Villavende’s death was attributed to the “shock and multiple injuries” in her vascular and nervous systems, according to the copy of the embalming report that GMA News acquired from Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III on Monday.
The embalming report cited these details based of her death certificate.
Villavende suffered from the alleged maltreatment of her employer in the Gulf state.
It was reported that the OFW had suffered months maltreatment from the wife of her Kuwaiti employer.
The remains of the Filipina domestic worker will be repatriated from Kuwait this week, according to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Villavende’s exact time of death is still unknown, but she reportedly arrived in the hospital black and blue.
Her employers are the prime suspects in her death.
