American Caught with Bullet Mulls Raps vs. Alleged Laglag Bala Men
The American who’s facing an illegal possession of ammunition case said on Wednesday that he was willing to file charges against the persons involved in what he alleged was a case of laglag bala extortion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, GMA News “24 Oras” has reported.
Lane Michael White attended the hearing of the case filed against him at the Pasay City Regional Trial Court on Wednesday. He was with his father and Filipino stepmother.
Asked by reporter Mark Salazar if he was willing to pursue a case against those who he said planted a bullet inside his luggage, White said, “Yes.”
“Masyadong nagulo ‘yung buhay nila so magpapahinga at pagiisipan [muna sila]. Pero ang kanilang mensahe dapat ang gobyerno ang gagawa ng hakbang [para maayos ito],” White’s lawyer Ernesto Arellano told reporters.
The 20-year-old White was allegedly caught with a bullet in his luggage at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in September.
“[It’s] Very, very stressful. I have faith in the truth… I have faith in God so I know that were all going to be okay,” White said. —NB, GMA News
