Alert Level 2 Still Up in Yemen
The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh on Wednesday reiterated its call to all Filipinos in Yemen to restrict non-essential movement and avoid public places as the country remains under alert level 2 (restriction phase).
Although Filipinos with existing labor contracts are allowed to return to Yemen, the Philippine embassy said the deployment of newly-hired overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) will remain suspended.
The embassy also urged Filipinos in all cities and regions of Yemen to update their registration or register by accomplishing the registration form on its official website or contact the Philippine Consulate in Sana’a.
The embassy said it continues to monitor the situation in Yemen and vows to provide further advisories to the Filipino community.
