OWWA: 140 distressed OFWs repatriated from Kuwait
A total of 140 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) were repatriated from Kuwait on Friday, September 15, according to the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA).
This is part of the repatriation program of OWWA and the Department of Migrant Workers to help those who need repatriation.
The OWWA airport team welcomed the OFWs who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 and 3 from Kuwait.
They were assisted with food, hotel accommodations, and transportation to their provinces. OWWA also provided the OFWs with financial assistance. —Sherylin Untalan/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
