SSS Opens New Office in Bulacan Town

BALIWAG, Bulacan — The Social Security System (SSS) opened on Thursday its new office in Barangay Tangos here to make its service accessible to more members.

“With this new site, the SSS Baliwag branch is now bigger and more comfortable. Transacting clients here in the new office is accessible and the location is convenient,” said Judy Frances A. See, executive vice president for branch operations sector of the SSS.

She said the SSS decided to transfer from its existing office on Maharlika Highway, also in this town, due to the increasing number of businesses and establishments here.

“The SSS office which was located along Maharlika Highway had a very limited parking lot. Thus, the agency decided to find and move to a new facility that would be convenient to its clients such as employers, private sector employees, and retirees,” See said.

“It is four times bigger than the previous office. The two-story building has a total size of 600 square meters that can accommodate more than 2,000 clients daily as compared to 1,860 people in the previous office,” branch manager of SSS-Baliwag Marites A. Dalope said.

On the first floor are booths for the issuance of Social Security number, verifications, receiving for maternity, sickness, retirement, death and funeral benefits; corporate lane, unified-multipurpose identification (UMID) card section, priority lane for the elderly, persons with disability and pregnant women.

Two units of SSS Self-Service Express Terminal are also located here. The booths on the second floor are for the payment of contributions. The SSS-Baliwag administrative office is also on the second floor.

The new branch also has an extensive parking lot for approximately 80 vehicles.

Dalope said the SSS did not spend any money on the building’s construction as it is new before they moved.

She said the owner of the building also did some of the renovations in the new office.

Dalope said having a larger and more spacious office would attract more clients.

“At the same, it will also increase the productivity and service levels of more than 30 SSS staff here,” she said.

Other SSS branches in Bulacan are located in Malolos City, Bocaue, Santa Maria, Meycauayan City and City of San Jose Del Monte. (PNA)
