Jollibee Opens First Store in Europe
The famous Filipino fast food chain Jollibee has finally arrived in Europe.
The all-time Pinoy favorite fast food chain, which has over 1,000 branches in the Philippines and hundreds in other countries, including the UAE, opened its first European branch in at Piazza Diaz 7, Milan, Italy last March 18.
Overseas Filipino workers and expatriates who came from as far as Austria traveled all the way to Milan, and patiently waited in line to get a taste of the fast food chain’s famous Chickenjoy, Yumburger, and Jolly Spaghetti.
The first 200 customers also received a limited edition Jollibee collectible doll.
On their Facebook page, Jollibee Italia shared snaps of their happy Filipino customers who were able to experience a slice of home.
“First time namin kumain ng Chickenjoy in 4 years! Ang sarap! Lasang Pilipinas! Yung mga anak namin maliliit palang sila noong umalis kami, pero naalala nila…naalala parin nila si Jollibee,” Monica Cabaces and Virginia Togonon said.
Jollibee, which has an all-Filipino crew in its branch in Italy, plans to expand and open more stores in Europe to offer more job opportunities to Filipinos.
