10th Parol (Lantern) Parade in Historic Filipinotown LA Set for Dec. 1

LOS ANGELES — The 10th Parol (Lantern) Parade In Historic Filipinotown will take place on Friday, December 1, at 5 p.m. in Loreto Church, 250 N. Union Street here, the Historic Filipinotown Neighborhood Council (HFNC) announced.

The Assembly area is Loreto Church at 4:00 p.m. Parade starts at 5:00 p.m. and ends 10 p.m. at the FCC/FACLA Compound on 1740 W. Temple Street, Los Angles.

The side streets of Court to Belmont and Rockwood and Belmont as well as the Union Street will be the assembly area of vehicles participating in the parade starting at 4 p.m..

The parade will start at 5 p.m. and go westward from Union to Beverly, right to Benton Way. right to Temple and eastward left on Bonnie Brae Street, left to Beverly, to Burlington Street and will end up at the FCC/FACLA compound at 1740 W. Temple St. Los Angeles.

 

The HFNC is calling for volunteers who will serve as security, ushers for registration and monitors for the parade.
