Nearly 70,000 OFWs Availed of One-Stop Center Services
Around 68,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) have already availed Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) first One-Stop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO) since its launch last August.
Located at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) main office in Mandaluyong City, OSSCO provided the services of the government agencies, necessary in working abroad.
POEA’s kiosk at the pilot OSSCO registered the most number of assisted clients with 19,022 OFWs.
It was followed by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) with 15,072 OFWs, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) with 9,248 OFWs, Social Security System (SSS) with 8,809 OFWs, and the Pag-IBIG fund with 4,203 OFWs.
