SSS Branches Open on Saturdays to Accommodate Loan Applicants

MANILA, Philippines – Social Security System (SSS) will open every Saturdays for the whole month of September to accommodate loan restructure program applications, Palace announced on Thursday.

“This is a bit of good news to SSS members who cannot visit the SSS offices during weekdays, given their working schedules,” presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella said in a press briefing.

Abella said the opening of the 109 SSS branches nationwide during four Saturdays of September is part of the agency’s month-long 59th anniversary celebration.

The 109 SSS branches, including 43 in Metro Manila, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m to accept the loan applications.

“This is only for the whole month of September,” Abella said.

The SSS has 31 branches in Visayas and 19 in Mindanao that will also open offices during the four Saturdays of September.
