‘MoH Discovers 209 AIDS, 1,529 Hepatitis Cases in ’16’ – US Doctor Caused ‘Death’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: According to a recent report issued by Ministry of Health, 209 people in Kuwait were discovered this year to be suffering from AIDS while the number of hepatitis cases discovered is 564 for hepatitis C, 530 for hepatitis B and 435 for hepatitis A, reports Al-Shahed daily.

In addition, the report stated that 6,000 cases of heart diseases, accidents and tumors, which represented the top causes of death in Kuwait in one year, were reported. It added that stomach cancer is the leading type of cancer in the country followed by lung cancer.

 Doctor to probe: A Kuwaiti man lodged a complaint at Fintas Police Station against an American doctor of a private hospital whom he accused of negligence which led to the death of his mother, reports Al-Anba daily.

In his complaint, the citizen said his mother was taken to a private hospital as she was very sick and she underwent an urgent surgery. She suffered from acute bleeding for four hours before she was referred to Adan Hospital. However, she had died shortly after arrival. The American doctor will be summoned for questioning.
