Want Services of Domestic Workers? Use Musaned

RIYADH — The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has urged citizens and residents who want the services of domestic workers to benefit from the Musaned portal by visiting www.musaned.gov.sa

Through the e-portal, they can review a list of licensed recruitment offices and companies along with the nationalities of workers and jobs available in addition to recruitment costs.

Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman of the ministry, said the portal allows employers and domestic workers to have heads-on information on how to process complaints and grievances.

Employers can access applications to recruit domestic workers.
Visitors to Musaned can review recruitment expenses depending upon nationality and occupation, said Abalkhail.

He called upon citizens and residents to report any manipulation in costs posted via the portal and contact the ministry’s official channels.

Visitors can explore conditions at the time of signing the contract that govern service seekers and providers. Conditions stipulate that recruitment period shall not exceed 60 days following the date of the signing of contract and that a job seeker shall not pay more than 25 percent of the expenses upon the signing of the contract.

The remaining fees are received once visas are stamped. The expenses cover all recruitment services with the exception of SR2,000 visa fee.

If a recruitment company delays in sending a domestic worker within the stipulated 60 days, it will have to pay a fine of SR100 for each day of delay. If the delay exceeds 30 days, the contract will automatically be canceled and the service provider will have to return the money with fines.
