DFA Reviews Contingency Plan for OFWs in Saudi, Iran
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is readying its contingency plan for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who may be affected by tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The DFA earlier held a command conference in Jordan, where ambassadors and consuls assessed the situation in various countries in the Middle East and North Africa and how developments there will affect Filipinos.
The contingency plan includes repatriation strategies that will be further reviewed.
Despite the rising tensions, the DFA said it has no plan of suspending deployment of Filipino workers in those countries.
