No Bail for Fil-Am Teen Accused in Terror Plot
REDWOOD CITY, California – The Filipino-American teenager in North Carolina accused of plotting to carry out terrorist activities on behalf of ISIS will be held in a county jail indefinitely and without bail.
Justin Sullivan of Morganton was arrested in June and charged with providing material support to the Islamic State.
On Thursday, a judge found probable cause in the prosecutors’ claim that Sullivan planned to buy a semi-automatic rifle that he intended to use to kill US citizens on behalf of ISIS.
Sullivan faces 40 years in prison and a half a million dollar fine if found guilty.
