CA Confirms Nominations of 6 Ambassadors
MANILA – The Commission on Appointments confirmed the nominations of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of six career officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The names of career officials whose appointments were confirmed in the plenary session on June 3 are the following:
- Hon. Constancio R. Vingno, Jr., Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates;
2. Hon. Joselito A. Jimeno, Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Switzerland with concurrent jurisdiction over the Principality of Liechtenstein;
3. Hon. Evelyn D. Austria-Garcia, Chief of Mission, Class I, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste;
4. Hon. Leslie J. Baja, Chief of Mission, Class II, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt with concurrent jurisdiction over the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Djibouti, the Republic of Sudan and the State of Eritrea;
5. Hon. Maria Fe T. Pangilinan, Chief of Mission, Class II, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotenriary to the Republic of Hungary with Concurrent jurisdiction over Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro; and
6. Hon. Daniel R. Espiritu, Chief of Mission, Class II, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with concurrent jurisdiction over the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
