WATCH: Fil-Brit, Dance Group Get Golden Buzzer in BGT
MANILA, Philippines – Their name might be BoyBand, but the five young men, including Filipino-British Mikey Ureta, wowed Britain’s Got Talent with their dance moves.
For their audition last April 18, BoyBand danced to “Uptown Funk,” impressing the judges with their snappy dance moves, somersaults and cartwheels.
After their performance, they received a standing ovation from the judges, which included Simon Cowell.
BoyBand got the much-coveted “golden buzzer” from Ant and Dec, which means they will go straight to the live sem-ifnals.
“We have seen the future,” Cowell said.
Nineteen-year old Ureta and his fellow BoyBand members Corey Culverwell, Dylan Mayoral, Jaih Betote, and Mike McNeish are now preparing for the semi-finals, which will be held from May 26 to 31.
This wasn’t the first time BoyBand joined a talent show in London. They previously appeared on a TV dance competition “Got To Dance.”
