52 OFWs from Libya Returning to PH
MANILA – A total of 52 overseas Filipino workers will be repatriated from strife-torn Libya this weekend.
The first batch of 32 OFWs will arrive in Manila Saturday. The remaining 20 are set to arrive Sunday.
The Department of Foreign Affairs raised Alert Level 4 over Libya last July 20 due to the extremely unstable political situation in the country.
As of October 13, a total of 4,245 OFWs who returned from Libya have been assisted by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
