50 AIDS Counseling Clinics in Riyadh Planned
JEDDAH: Fifty AIDS counseling clinics will be opened in health centers and hospitals in Riyadh soon.
These centers will have separate departments for both men and women, said Mohammad Al-Dhafeeri, director of the AIDS program. The measures will be taken to prevent a rise in AIDS cases.
An online newspaper, quoting Al-Dhafeeri, said that this is among plans this year to support clinics in health centers by providing health counselors for AIDS.
While inaugurating a counseling and voluntary testing center for AIDS in Al-Shifa Health Center in Riyadh, he said that the centers provide fast testing for HIV. They also provide counseling and advice for those who come to these centers.
Al-Dhafeeri said that workers, both male and female, including doctors and nurses of these clinics, have been trained about quick examination for the disease and counseling.
